Longenecker & Associates, supporting Sandia National Laboratory, is in search of a Project Controls Specialist.  Sandia National Laboratories has been delivering essential science and technology to resolve the nation’s most challenging security issues for more than 60 years. Role description

Longenecker and Associates and Sandia National Laboratory are seeking a Project Controls Specialist to support their vision and strategy.

Location:      Sandia National Laboratory, Albuquerque, NM


  • Ability to integrate schedules, attach and manage baselines
  • Accountable for managing a PMB, including change control
  • Administers strong critical thinking skills while demonstrating Project Management capabilities.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel required
  • Demonstrates knowledge and experience with Primavera 6 and Microsoft Project Software with complex schedules
  • Knowledge of scheduling in an EVM environment or developmental environment
  • Administer schedule development and maintenance, statusing, coaching others, and helping set up best practices for schedule focused activities

Essential skills

  • 8 years’ experience with Integrated Scheduling and Primavera 6
  • Experience in a DOE environment
  • Q Clearance required
  • Ability to integrate information from multiple sources to form a comprehensive perspective·         Identifies interdependencies in cross-functional projects
  • Skilled at analyzing setbacks and seek honest feedback to learn from mistakes
  • Translates vision and policy into concrete work activities


  • Undergraduate degree in relevant field
