Role description

Lucideon is seeking a Technical Sales Consultant, Nuclear to help grow the US Nuclear business vertical in line with Lucideon business plans through acquisition of new customers and development of existing clients.

The role will involve identifying potential customers and considerable travel to client locations, representing highly technical services. The incumbent will have a strong knowledge of the nuclear sector, ideally through prior experience of work in or selling similar services into this area.

The role will require the ability to penetrate target clients in order to sell Lucideon’ s solutions and then network extensively within them to significantly increase wallet share.

Reporting to: Sales Director


  • To contribute towards achieving & exceeding Nuclear revenue and margin targets set by the business
  • To target and successfully penetrate new Nuclear clients throughout the US, focusing on selling services commensurate with Lucideon’ s DCO (Development and Commercial Organization) model
  • To develop revenue and margin in existing Nuclear clients throughout the US, using highly developed account management and networking techniques to map key stakeholders in an organization and then selling services commensurate with Lucideon’ s DCO (Development and Commercial Organization) model
  • To be highly visible in the marketplace, averaging a minimum of 6 valuable face to face client interactions per week
  • To work closely with Marketing, Operations, Product Management and Sales colleagues in the US and Europe to share best practice knowledge on the Nuclear marketplace and fully understand Lucideon’ s value proposition to it
  • To comply with the Company’s performance standards for items such as CRM reporting, quotation production, monthly reporting and delegated authority
  • Such other duties as may be reasonably required by the Company

Essential skills

  • More than 5 years’ experience working within the Nuclear sector, either in a relevant technical role or selling services equivalent to Lucideon’ s proposition
  • Knowledge or experience in the decommissioning segment of the Nuclear sector, preferred
  • Highly skilled in networking and a demonstrable ability to gain entry into and generate value with prospects who have not dealt with Lucideon before
  • Excellent and proven ability to prioritize workload
  • Ability to work in a “one team” manner to resolve any challenges that arise internally or externally
  • Proven ability to influence at all levels
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and oral at all levels of seniority
  • The role is field-based, and the incumbent is expected to travel extensively within the US due to the dispersed nature of the client base; 50% travel within your control
  • Frequent trips to the commercial center at Raleigh, NC and the laboratories at Schenectady, NY, and Greenville, SC will also be required
